Happy Autumn! This is such a beautiful time of year – I love the changing of the seasons. There is so much going on here at Make Friends with Your Money. I am thrilled to be at Pat Mussieux’s Wealth Makers Event this week. I will be speaking at the Journey 2 Success Retreat this weekend. Watch the blog and Facebook page for updates on all of the excitement!
As promised … an update on the shed. We are really happy with how it turned out. You can see that Kevin did a beautiful job of finishing it with board and batten. I really love the tree design he created on his handmade doors.
Kevin installed a metal cabinet and some shelving he had in the back of his store. He used nails to make hooks for strapping, chains and trailer hitches. The garage is starting to look much less cluttered!
We reused, recycled, borrowed and bartered. We sold items we didn’t need to fund what we wanted. After all was said and done, we are thrilled that this shed cost us a total of $350 of actual out of pocket cash. A comparable shed would cost about $2500 to have built, and a DIY kit would be about $1400.
How creative can you get? When you want something, consider creative ways that you can use to get it. Not only does it keep your money available for other important goals, it is a fun and interesting challenge.

Have a fantastic week!
